about
Anhedonist was a Death/Doom band from Seattle, Washington active from 2008–2014. “Abject Darkness” was recorded during the same session as their only album, Netherwards, in the Winter of 2011. Initially slated to appear on an aborted split EP with Knelt Rote, this release sees the band’s last recorded monument to pain finally erected. R.I.P.
Gloriously unrelenting, the new black metal masterpiece from Moray uses slashing riffs and searing vocals to tell an unsettling story. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 5, 2023

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal
