Ritual Necromancy excel at that bestial sound, but don't forsake fretboard prowess. The second half of 'Fruiting Bodies' is a great example of that. This is 18 perfect death metal minutes.
Favorite track: Fruiting Bodies.
As far a cavernous, evil, depths of the abyss death metal goes, you can never go wrong with Ritual Necromancy. The sound of subterranean hell unleashed! Buy it fools!
Favorite track: Void Manifest.
Three brand new assaults from Portland's resident cavemen, Ritual Necromancy. Void Manifest is a single-sided MLP clocking in at 18 minutes of bludgeoning death metal. All copies on black vinyl with a silk screen side B and upgraded jacket stock.
Needed a couple of play throughs to really kick in. But hell, does it kick in now!
The 1:26 riff in "II" has me regularely tearing up, because it is just so beautiful! The music seems to go from my ears right into my guts. yzn3rf
Really well produced and played throughout! Slow and plodding (in places) OSDM but not afraid to go all guns blazing when required. Vocals are akin to cavernous bellows and fit the mood perfectly. Looking forward to a second full length. Should be bigger on the DM scene!! Neil Grace
This demo fucking rips and is a set up for the room clearing full-length "Disgorged from Psychotic Depths." And I cannot get enough of the Sabbath-infused opener "Altar of Decay." Whoever made the songwriting decision to hit that heavy as a bomb riff to play the song out, I'd like to buy you a drink. bcb723
