Burzumgamecube Arghoslent has been radio silent for nearly a decade now and HoA does more than simply fill that Gelal-shaped void in your heart. Much like Arghoslent, this is imperious, martial, and arrogant death metal played with melodic intent. So many brilliant riffs on this album give it a haughty rock and roll attitude that so many modern death metal bands are severely bereft of. Favorite track: The River Black.

Kelvin (Navajo/Diné) If you like Goatwhore you will love House of Atreus. I first heard them from the Dark Descent sampler a few years ago. They got so much catchy riffs/guitar leads/choruses you will find yourself humming along. Favorite track: The River Black.

Choco Latte House Of Atreus really stands out amongst Dark Descent's already and continuously growing roster of impressive bands. Their debut is Iron Maiden inspired featuring one glorious riff after another. Favorite track: Messenger of a Shaken Host.

Matthew If Iron Maiden played death metal. Riffs aren't on Arghoslent's level but the songwriting is great and the songs are enjoyable! Favorite track: Oresteia. The Unforgotten Scorns.

They reignited and intensified an existing ( and somewhat on the back burner at the time ) love of heavy music. Even listened on the flight there! PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it. That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten
