RJ This… is some heavy shit. ‘The Black Mouth of Sepulchre’ seems to have it all; dense thematic atmosphere, deep rumbling tones, technical proficiency, and some of the chunkiest grooves of 2021. A truly brutal study in death metal. 8/10 Favorite track: Dry Breath of the Tomb.

Dan Curhan Ooh, this is fun. Badass riffs, chunky swagger, filthy atmosphere... this is everything I hope for in death metal. Epic tremolos, tons of tempo changes, great songwriting, outstanding production... it's very very good.

Bart Absolutely crushing/suffocating death metal. Favorite track: Emanated Trepidation.

Dante Ruivo This simply CRUSHES! Favorite track: Shadows Writhing like Black Wings.

Camelus Dromedarius This one really caught me off guard. I wasn't expecting this to be one of the best OSDM albums I've heard, but this album is just that. It captures the sinister feeling of Scream Bloody Gore's writing and modernizes it with great tone and very good writing. This just might be the best OSDM release of 2021. Favorite track: Dry Breath of the Tomb.

From the moment you hit play, a lurking sense of dread washes over the body like some all-consuming Lovecraftian terror from the murkiest depths. This feeling lingers long past the ending of the album.
