Ippocalyptica This is another entry in the cavernous (not to be confused with caveman) death metal sub genre, but differs from the likes of Grave Miasma, Disma, and Incantation mainly through its thunderous and clear production, which provides the sense that you are in a massive underground cavern as opposed to a network of tight and damp tunnels. Make no mistake, though, as death is still all around you here. Riffs are absolutely massive, drums are crushing, vocals are so guttural. This is the way. Favorite track: Refracted Suffering Through the Windows of Hell.

Mohemian Hailing from the Death and Black Metal paradise in the American Northwest, Portland, Sempiternal Dusk deliver a teeth grinding melange of mid-tempo Death Metal and Doom in the vein of the mighty Asphyx or Bolt Thrower. With its earthy production and the occasional high speed outbursts Cenotaph is what the latest Nekrovault release should have been like. Absolutely hypnotic and crushing. Recorded and mixed at The Autopsy Room (DRAWN AND QUARTERED, SPLATTERHOUSE, ALDEBARAN) and mastered by Dredged Oblivion. The murky production of the previous full length has been dialed back in favor of a bolder and sharper sound while retaining the despondent atmosphere. Featuring new artwork by the unholy D.Desecrator.
