YomaBarr My favourite Shrine I guess - others are good, this is mind bending. Worst behaved, wildest and pitch black. And I didn't have it.
Grimmrobe

Grimmrobe The end is here. Unrelenting, apocalyptic, blackened death.

Devour it whole. Favorite track: The Chalice of Flesh and Bone: The Eminence of Chaos.
Future Eyes

Future Eyes Anxious noise, destitute piano, and anemic guitar interludes bookend six incredible chapters of pure Finnish mid-paced DM chaos interwoven with subtle harmonic spells. Can't really choose a favorite... maybe those last 3 tracks, but Lair of Wolf & 1000 Lions was my 1st favorite! An abundance of dyad progressions, dissonant, suffocating, brutal, chilling atmosphere - Guitar tone grinds like a cranial saw! Eerie legato leads buried beneath bone shattering angular build ups. Favorite vocals in DM!! Favorite track: The Chalice of Flesh and Bone: The Eminence of Chaos.

Simon Sludge A Death Metal wall of sound with a nightmare-ish atmosphere. Great stuff!

about

Over a year and a half after decimating ear drums with the sounds from their debut album "Tenebrous Towers," Desolate Shrine returns with their highly anticipated and very dark sophomore release. "The Sanctum of Human Darkness" is nearly 55 minutes of dark, misanthropic death metal which is a reminder why Finland remains home to some of the nastiest death metal today. Aesthetics once again handled by the band's own L.L..
