xhrl_ Brings back the feel of early 90s death metal; in fact I read that Gravehill has former members of Death & Autopsy perform on this LP. Certainly that fact gives us a likely sense of the album's groove. Bonus marks for the Moyen art! But the old school DM is what makes this offering so relentless. I highly recommend this undeservedly obscure LP to any listener who has even a passing interest in thrash, DM or hardcore punk (e.g., Nomeansno). Such unrelenting goodness demands perky & thirsty ears!

I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days.
